In 1985 the
system was completely rewritten taking full advantage of advances in PC
technologies, networking and the many lessons learned in earlier years.
The first version of this was sold to
Harveys of Bristol and was
the core of their wine merchant activities for its duration.
During this time we developed a highly successful
Customer Reserves system
to fully integrate into the main system and assist in maintaining the large
quantity of reserves held by their customers.
In 1992 a new partnership of
Vintner Computer Systems was formed to develop, market and support the highly
successful
.
To allow for expected growth
was formed in 1999, responsible for marketing the
current windows version
.
The ensuing years have seen the addition of many new modules including a full accounting
suite and in 1999 the Excise Warehouse module
approved for use in both the UK & Irish Republic.
Over the years more than 200 customers (300+ companies) have purchased the
system, more than all its major rivals together. The basis of this success is the company's dedication to one singular
vertical market, the Drinks Trade. With that focus we have gleaned the
knowledge of 25 year's unmatched experience.
The current windows version
is the culmination of many years of planning combined with even
more years of experience. We are therefore confident that our new offering
will be another great vintage for the Wine & Spirits Trade.
